Union Square is the vibrant heart of San Francisco and an international destination where visitors come to enjoy exceptional retail experiences, luxury hotels, world-class cultural institutions, and great public spaces found only in the City by the Bay.
The Union Square BID serves members and creates a high quality visitor experience by managing and activating public spaces, attracting new investment, and advocating for the District’s future success.
The Union Square Business Improvement’s (USBID) goal is to enhance and promote the Union Square district for visitors and residents through clean and safe measures, marketing, advocacy, and public realm improvements. Working in partnership with the City, the USBID ensures Union Square remains a world-class destination as well as a clean, safe, attractive, and vibrant district for everyone.
About the USBID
The Union Square BID is the first and largest of San Francisco’s 14 property-based business improvement district/community benefit districts, providing supplemental services funded by property owners who are self-assessed. We are governed by a Board of Directors made up of property owners, business owners, and stakeholders.- We work closely with City agencies to carry out our mission and are guided by a management plan.
