An Insider’s Guide to F3: Fall Fashion Fest SF

Fall Fashion Fest SF is almost here, and we are bursting with excitement! Over 25 shops have agreed to stay open late and offer everything from bubbly to pastries to discounts and fabulous gifts with purchase. Here are our top ten tips for Fall Fashion Fest success!

Get the Map – Start your night off at the TIX Bay Area booth on Union Square Park where you can pick up your own copy of our stylish and useful map of events. All participating stores and their locations are listed, so you can plan the perfect route to fit your style. We’ll only be giving these beauties out to folks who RSVP on Eventbrite, so don’t forget to reserve one for yourself at

Get Social – At F3 it pays to get social, we’re giving away some absolutely fabulous social media prizes for 3 lucky winners! Just tweet your favorite picture of the event with the #F3SF, and you’ll be entered to win. Be sure to also RSVP first, so we have your contact info. For full contest rules click here

Bring your Guy Friends – Yes, F3 isn’t just for girls! We have some dapper shops and events for male guests as well. Guys can pop by Bonobos to find the perfect fitting pants and meet local fashion blogger The Bellwether Project. Guys can also get hot fall trends at Scotch & Soda (and waffles, did we mention waffles?) and even elegant men’s jewelry at Adam Neeley.

Have a plan… or not – We suggest you at least glance at the list of parties we’ve put together, so you can be sure to stop by your favorite stores, enter the raffles you want to win and get in on the free goodies that appeal to you, but you can also just wander the square – you’re sure to run into some fabulous celebrations.

Pace yourself and hydrate – Many stores will hand you a glass of bubbly before you even get a gander at their fall fashion lines, so be sure to take your time sipping and intersperse glasses of wine with glasses of water (you wouldn’t want to tip over on those trendy heels).

Be prepared to get made over – not that we’re encouraging you to show up without a stitch of makeup on, but know that some stores will be offering free mini-makeovers, plus hair and nail tips, so you might want to take advantage of those stations and plan accordingly.

Rock your style – There will be many photo opps, first impressions and mingling sessions, so take this time to show off your unique style.

Get a fashion posse together – Shopping is more fun with friends, don’t you agree? Get together a brigade of style-savvy galavanters and make a night of it.

Limit your moolah – If you plan to shop, you might want to set a budget beforehand. It’s easy to get carried away with all those gifts with purchase and raffle entries.

Have fun – While models will be roaming the shops (and they can look rather serious) and you’ll be rubbing elbows with celebrity designers, remember that fashion is all about enjoying yourself, feeling good about yourself and expressing yourself. Happy shopping!
