Top 5 Lunch Spots in Union Square

Top 5 Lunch Spots in Union Square

Between and hustle and bustle of the 9 to 5 work day, take a break and enjoy these top San Francisco lunch favorites. Union Square has all the lunch options you need to truly get away from your emails and buzzing phone. American, French, Mexican, Italian and so much more is just a short walk. Although we have countless places to choose from, here are some of our favorite lunch spots.

Halal Guys: If you’re looking for a quick and tasty meal, you can’t go wrong with a sandwich or platter from the Halal Guys, world-famous from New York. With your choice of chicken, gyro or falafel, a wide variety of toppings and their famous white and hot sauces, you are sure to stay energized for the rest of your day.

Colibri Mexican Bistro: Colibri has all of your lunchtime favorites including Chile rellenos, enchiladas, tacos and carnitas. Be sure to try their famous guacamole, and add a house margarita, tortilla soup, salad, or churros to any orders for just $5!

Rambler: Tickle your taste buds by grabbing lunch at the Rambler! We recommend their Bermuda triangle grilled cheese with caramelized onions, apple mustard and chips; and their brined chicken wings with chile de arbol and lime crema.

Café Madeleine: Experience traditional American favorites done the French way during your lunch break. Café Madeleine specializes in decorative pastries and cakes and made from the finest ingredients such as imported European chocolates and fruit purees.

Café de la Presse: Don’t miss out on one of San Francisco’s hot spots right here in Union Square. Café de la Presse has been a special gathering place for conversations and French cuisine. Experience everything from their Croque Madame to Steak Frites. The owners recently opened Herlen Place, a hip new wine bar right next door!
