Between Riverside and Crazy at A.C.T.’s Geary Theater - This outrageous dark comedy by Stephen Adly Guirgis (The Motherf*cker with the Hat, Jesus Hopped the A Train) follows an ex-cop with an ex-convict son who is trying to hold on to his rent-stabilized apartment in New York City, while grieving the recent loss of his wife. Provocative, funny and touching, this show runs Sep. 2 – 27, 2015.
Foodies! The Musical at the Shelton Theater - This musical comedy takes a comical look at restaurants, eating habits, quirks, trends and how we eat. Show runs Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm (ongoing).
Dogfight at San Francisco Playhouse - This musical love story is about three young marines’ last night out before they head off to war. One marine takes on a cruel bet with his buddies, but his victim turns the tables, and the night turns into a lesson on the power of compassion. Show runs Sep. 22 – Nov. 7, 2015.
Whoa-Man! at the Shelton Theater - San Francisco’s cartoon cabaret ensemble Fou Fou Ha explores the lives of four women living in present day, who are searching for love online in this hilarious musical. Follow their dating mishaps as they grapple with sexuality, power, body image and self-worth. Show runs most Friday and Saturday nights in October and November.
Ah, Wilderness! at A.C.T.’s Geary Theater - This Eugene O’Neill classic coming-of-age tale takes place at the turn of the century and features a sensitive teenage poet experiencing love and heartbreak for the first time. As Richard attempts to sow his wild oats, hysterical misunderstandings arise due to small town gossip. Show runs Oct. 14 – Nov. 8, 2015.
