Chinese New Year at Hakkasan
In celebration of Chinese New Year, Hakkasan is reinventing the classic fortune cookie.
This unique fortune macaron will feature one of 88 fortunes penned by former Mayor Willie Brown, wrapped around a delicate mandarin and white chocolate macaron created by Hakkasan London’s Executive Pastry Chef Dale DeSimone.
The fortunes explore the comedic, satirical and often dark side of modern-day life in the city.
In addition to the fortune macaron, Hakkasan will also feature 8 new menu items including a Dim sum duo, Crispy suckling pig with sticky rice, and the Wealth pot: a luxurious hazelnut dark chocolate dessert with mandarin and edible gold dust prepared tableside.
Hakkasan is also paying homage to the wishing tree tradition inspired by the Lam Tsuen trees in Hong Kong. Guests are invited to write their wishes for 2019 on the red ribbons and hang them on the wooden latticework in the restaurant for good luck.
Hakkasan's Chinese New Year menu items will be available a la carte or in a prix fixe menu at $128 per person for a minimum of two guests!
