Daniel Tellez is the Executive Chef at Copita Tequileria y Comida. Born in Mexico City, Daniel fell in love with cooking as a young boy in his grandmother's kitchen. Each weekend, he helped prepare meals for his extraordinarily large family of 52 cousins. In 2016, Tellez brought his deep culinary experience in authentic Mexican cuisine and international influences from high level positions in Mexico City and Rome, to Copita.
Copita Tequileria y Comida is a modern Mexican restaurant owned by Larry Mindel and Joanne Weir located in the heart of downtown Sausalito, California. Serving seasonal dishes and cocktails, Copita offers lunch and dinner daily, along with weekend brunch.
