Free Tickets to Documentary Film “National Parks Adventure"

July 24, 2016, Laguna Beach, CA – If you can’t get to a national park this Summer, you can still enjoy them by going to a complimentary 3D screening of “NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE” at the AMC Metreon in downtown San Francisco.  This film is a celebration of our treasured lands and will be screening at the theatre free of charge from August 7 through August 28 – thanks to the support of the centennial anniversary of the National Park Service by the Arizona Office of Tourism.  Showtimes are 1 pm. on Mondays thru Thursdays and 11 a.m. on Fridays thru Sundays.

Playing in over 75 markets globally, “NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE” takes audiences on the ultimate off-trail adventure into the nation's awe-inspiring great outdoors and untamed wilderness. Told from the perspective of national parks ambassador and world-class mountaineer Conrad Anker, his stepson Max Lowe (an adventure photographer) and family friend Rachel Pohl, these modern-day explorers visit spectacularly wild and beautiful places – including Yellowstone, the Everglades, the Redwoods, and Arches – revealing a tapestry of natural wonders that will inspire the adventurer in all of us. Narrated by Academy Award® winner Robert Redford, and captured with IMAX 3D cameras “NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE” celebrates the majesty of our national parks and treasured landscapes and highlights the importance of protecting them.

MacGillivray Freeman Films President and Producer of “NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE,” Shaun MacGillivray shares, “We are thrilled with the impact our film has had so far in helping inspire people around the world to visit these incredible places.  We’ve had sell-out shows from New York to Los Angeles.  In fact, a million people saw the film within the first 10 weeks of the film being released. Highlighting America’s natural wonders and bringing the parks back into the conversation – especially this year as we celebrate the centennial anniversary – is what making this film was all about.”

“NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE” has had the largest day-and-date release for a giant screen documentary in recent history and still has several markets to open such Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, PA (July 15th), Santikos IMAX Palladium in San Antonio, TX (August 25th) and many more internationally. The film will play in more than 100 markets this year.

“NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE” is produced in association with Brand USA and presented globally by Expedia, Inc. and Subaru of America with promotional support from REI, Sierra Club, and Sunset and Coastal Living magazines.
