John Lloyd Young at Feinstein's at The Nikko
John Lloyd Young returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with an all new show following two sold out engagements in December 2014 and July 2015. He is best known for creating the role of Frankie Valli in the Broadway musical Jersey Boys for which he holds the distinction of being the only American actor to receive a Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Theatre World Award as well as a Lead Actor in a Musical Tony Award for a Broadway debut.
Young reprised the role in London's West End production of the show as well as in Director Clint Eastwood's film adapation which was released in June 2014. Because of this notoriety, John Lloyd Young was able to also perform at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the White House, Radio City Music Hall, Yankee Stadium, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Times Square on New Year's Eve.
He can be heard on the Grammy Award winning Jersey Boys cast recording as well as his own CD "My Turn..." which was produced by Dona Miller.
After moving to Los Angeles, John Lloyd Young starred in an all star production of Les Miserables at the Hollywood Bowl and was the first ever guest star invited to appear on Glee.
A Sacramento, CA native, John Lloyd Young was appointed by President Barrack Obama to the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities. Young is also a visual artist whose first commission was for famed Beverly Hills restaurant Spago. He is also actively involved in Armed Services, Cystic Fibrosis and HIV/AIDS charities.
