Everyone benefits from the Clean and Green program. It increases Union Square property values and enhances visitor experiences.
As part of the Clean and Green program, all property owners receive two sidewalk steam cleanings per month. Steam cleanings take place in the evening Sunday through Thursday.

The Union Square BID also provides daily maintenance workers to clean litter from the sidewalks and remove graffiti, as authorized by property owners.
The Beautification and Streetscapes program was created to further meet the BID's goals by enhancing the pedestrian experience and encouraging business retention and relocation to the district.
