We have boosted the cleanliness of the Union Square area by launching the "Bigbelly" program and adding 25 solar- powered "smart" trash compactor receptacle units across our 27-block district. Bigbelly cans were selected because they do not leak, prevent the public from rummaging through them, and maintain a stain free parameter.
