



Macy’s Celebrates “Once Upon a Springtime” in Union Square
As winter comes to a close in San Francisco, springtime blooms to life with Macy’s annual Flower Show. The event runs from Sunday, March 25 through Sunday, April 8 during the store’s regular hours. This year’s enchanted theme is “Once Upon a Springtime” and you can expect to lose yourself in a world of color, fantasy, and beauty. Enter a land like no other with incredible floral arrangements reflective of your favorite childhood fairytales.
Macy’s Flower Show is free and open to the public. Patrons can purchase arrangements on display for a good cause. Select flowers will be available at Pier 32 on the Embarcadero on Monday, April 9. Proceeds will benefit the Delancey Street Foundation.
Need parking? You can park up to 3 hours at the Union Square and Ellis-O’Farrell for Macy’s cardholders. If you’re not a cardholder, Macy’s will validate parking with a minimum $25 purchase.
To further celebrate springtime in Union Square, Macy’s will host a series of special events at the store in addition to the Flower Show.
1. Spring Beauty: Cosmetics Garden Party – Patrons can enjoys 15% off department wide. Come join Macy’s for mini master classes, live demonstrations, product tutorials and foundation matching with a free 10 foundation sample.
2. Flower Show Hands on Bonsai Workshop by Suzhou Tourism Board (March 24-March 25) – Learn how to care for and cultivate bonsai plants.
3. Join Alice Lee on Thursday, April 5 from 3-6:30 pm to learn about coloring techniques and creating floral designs.
4. Joy Kwon from Lighten Up Shoppe will lead a hands on candle making class on Saturday, April 7 from 4-5:30 pm. You will have the opportunity to create a custom floral scented candle using various oils and dried flowers.
