We’re super psyched for the Super Bowl this weekend! We just can’t wait to see the 49ers dominate! In that spirit, we’ve gathered the top places in Union Square to catch the game while enjoying delicious snacks and drinks. Plus, we’re showing off our favorite photos of Union Square businesses decked out in 49er pride! Enjoy and go Niners!
Burritt Room + Tavern (417 Stockton St.) – Probably the classiest place to view the game, Burritt Room + Tavern is opening up their downstairs event space Berlinetta for a chic Super Bowl party complete with appropo a la carte apps like charred corn guacamole and tempura shrimp skewers plus $5 beers, wine by the glass, cocktails and more!
Golden Gate Grill & Bar (449 Powell St.) – is going all out, welcoming guests for an all day long celebration of the 49ers. They’ll, of course, show the game, and their yummy American grill cuisine is the perfect accompaniment.
Level III (500 Post St.) – The elegant restaurant at the JW Marriott will also be showing the game in a comfortable lounge setting. Our Super Bowl picks from their menu include white bean hummus, kobe beef sliders and three-cheese mac n’ cheese.
Irish Bank (10 Mark Ln.) – Enjoy the Super Bowl with an Irish twist. Get yourself some Shepherd’s Pie and pull up a stool!
Lefty O’Doul’s (333 Geary St.) – The SF standby bar will obviously be showing the game. Stop by for their hand carved meats and a slice of San Francisco history.
Cable Car City Pub & Café (One Hallidie Plaza) – Nachos, wings and several large television screens make this a nice spot to catch the game. Plus, it’s right near lots of public transit, so no need to drive.
Otis Lounge (25 Maiden Ln.) – This upscale night club turns into a sports bar with mimosas and other fresh fruit drinks during special games. Check their facebook page for updates on Super Bowl festivities.
Jasper’s Corner Tap & Kitchen (401 Taylor St.) – Chili-lime popcorn? Yes, please! Jaspers is putting in extra big screen TVs for your viewing pleasure and cooking up special super bowl grub including three different kinds of sliders (pork, beef and veggie), a kobe dog, hot wings with scorched scotch bonnet sauce, beers by the can and bottle and their usual elevated pub cuisine.
Caruso's at the Westin St. Francis (335 Powell St.) - The casual dining spot in the Westin will be combining the Super Bowl with cocktails. They'll be showing the game on a 47" TV and hosting a “Har-Bowl Cocktail Contest” featuring a showdown between “Jim the Prospector" (a tequila based cocktail) and "John the Raven" (A vodka based cocktail). Should be a good party no matter who wins.
If all those treats weren't enough to ensure a sweet victory for all, Cako (211 O'Farrell St.) is offering 10% off their special red velvet cupcakes topped with golden vanilla and caramel buttercream icing when you order and mention special code NINERSFAN.
