Cleaning & Safety Services
[Effective 6/04/2020] Member Services is now resumed to 6:30am – 10:30pm daily, with Overnight Security Services available between 10:00pm – 6:00am.  Clean and safe ambassadors will operate between 5:30am – 11:30pm. Pressure washing and the ATLV will operate between 9:00pm – 5:30am daily. To report a clean or safe incident between 6:30am – 10:30pm, please contact Member Services at 415-781-4456 or To report a safe incident between 10:00pm – 6:00am, please contact Legion Security at 415-724-2909 and mention your membership with the USBID. 

[As of 7/29/2020] The City & County of San Francisco is currently in Phase 2b (Zoo) of the re-opening plan. Business hours may be affected. Please check local listings. Retailers open for touchless shopping and restaurants open for take-out are available. Continue practicing social distancing and maintaining property safety protocols like hand washing and wearing a facial mask. As part of the Union Square Cares initiative, in 2016 the USBID contracted with the Downtown Streets Team (DST), a Bay Area nonprofit whose mission is “ending homelessness through the dignity of work." DST provides on-the-job training, case management, and access to City services for its team members in exchange for the work of sweeping City sidewalks. To date, eight DST members sweep and clean alleys and sidewalks in the Union Square area Mon. - Fri. from 7-11 am and 1-5 pm. Union Square is DST’s second contract in San Francisco following Civic Center. Click ( to donate to DST’s Union Square program.
