Indian Summer Menu at Clift
Everyone seems to think that the closer to September we get, that summer is over. Not in San Francisco. In the city, summer is about to start with the most beautiful and warmest months happening in September and October. Of course, with the warming season, there is a new food and drink menu in Redwood Room which incorporates the summer produce and fresh honey sourced from the Bee Sanctuary on the roof of Clift Hotel.
The new menu, created by Chef Thomas Weibull, includes Nori Salted House made Potato Chips (Kennebec Potato Chips seasoned with Nori Komi Furikake), Tuna Poké Tacos (Sashimi Grade Tuna, Sesame Oil, Scallions, Furikake Seaweed, Soy Sauce), Mushroom Spring Rolls & Black Truffle Aioli (Shiitake and Cremini Mushroom, Shallots, Chives wrapped, fried and served w/ a Black Truffle Aioli, Mini 4505 Corn Dogs & House made Ketchup and Pickled Mustard Seeds (Local 4505 Bacon-Studded Hot Dogs Dipped in Corn Meal Batter and served w/ Housemade Ketchup and Mustard), and Rooftop Honey-infused Compressed Watermelon Salad with Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, Mint, Organic Feta, Aged Balsamic.
The new cocktails include KING’S LEMONADE (Woodford Reserve Rye, Lemon Juice, Basil Syrup, Strawberries), CLIFT PAINKILLER (Bacardi 8 Rum, Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, Cream Of Coconut, Nutmeg), SANDÍA AMARA (Avion Silver Tequila, Aperol, Watermelon & Lime Juice, Agave, Chili-Salt Rim), RASPBERRY SOUR (Grey Goose Vodka, Lime Juice, Ginger Syrup, Raspberries, Chambord Float), and COOL DESIRE (Absolut Elyx Vodka, Passion Fruit, House-Made Mint Syrup, Veuve Clicquot).
